Dear LNC,
Please click on the link below to see Jake Porter's TV had for his IA Governor's race.  He was able to produce this ad and will run it on YouTube and Google ads partly with the contribution we approved at the pre-convention LNC meeting.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viBKXFFiKh8
This is one of the first tangible results of the new procedures we have in place for candidate contributions.  Mr. Porter's race will have a direct impact on the LPIA's ballot access and is a good example of where our limited funds should be targeted for the remainder of this Election Cycle.
The CSC is pending any further requests until we complete our committee with two non-LNC members which should happen within the next few weeks.  I would suspect  we will have requests to place before you prior the September LNC meeting that will need quick action on Email ballots.
Stay tuned and
Live Free,
Sam Goldstein, Chair
LNC Candidate Support Committee

Here is the first tangible result of a LNC candidate contribution since
our committee was implemented and the new criteria/application were put
    into place this Spring.

Thanks so much!  We produced a TV ad and are running it all over
YouTube and Google Ads for $0.03 a view.  This support from the LNC
greatly helped with that.  We received 17% in a county fair mock
    election a week ago.

Nope, just contact Robert Kraus ([5]robert.kraus at lp.org) and let him

    Jake,
Sorry you won't make the convention but I understand the dilemma faced
by active candidates.  I will inform the LNC that you are ready to
answer any question when I propose the motion.  The information
    you provided will help.

    Hi Sam,
I greatly appreciate anything you can do.  $1,000 will help us
    greatly.
We must achieve 2% in the Governor's race to maintain major party
status.  Here is how major party status impacts ballot access:
      * Reduces the signatures required from 1,500 to 1,000 for all
statewide offices except Governor (unless we use special
        convention-see below)
      * Eliminates the 2020 Presidential signature gathering requirement.
(We file a form and we get our Presidential nominee on the ballot)
      * Allows us to have a Libertarian primary
      * Ability to nominate candidates for unfilled spots in the primary by
holding special conventions saving us petitioning for most all down
ticket races (statewide, federal, state legislative, and county
seats).  This allowed us to run a full slate for statewide and
federal office for the first time in state party history.

Unfortunately, I will not be at the convention due to the campaign.  We
are doing two parades and possibly some media interviews this weekend.
Please feel free to call me or reply back with any additional
    questions.
    Thanks,
    Jake

    Jake,
The CSC met last weekend and voted in favor of asking the LNC to
contribute $1000 to your campaign for IA Governor.  We realize this is
much less than your request but we are working under fairly severe
    budget constraints at this time.
Can you please let me know how your campaign affect ballot access
retention for the LPIA.  I need this information for my report to the
    LNC justifying the contribution.
If you are going to be at New Orleans this Saturday you might want to
attend the LNC meeting from 4-6pm which is when the LNC will vote on
    this motion.
