Caryn Ann, by Trent I gather you mean Trent Somes when he was an LNC
alternate.
I don't recall such by Trent Somes, so when did this get approved? You
said last term, what specifically do you mean by term? (I guess I can
look through past LNC minutes, but I don't recall this being asked or
being approved.)
I'm not questioning having the secretary gather information for needed
use, I'm questioning the "why" part of the whole thing. I'd like to see
the wording of what was approved.
Again, I think the LP and LNC should focus on candidates, and we're the
back-end management, not the front-men. I don't see how adding social
media profiles helps with communication, on the contrary, it makes it
more confusing for members to know the official channels through which
they can reach LNC members. Social media isn't the same, and that means
the LP and LNC is by some sort of proxy, promoting whatever people have
on their social media. Is that what we want? I'm not sure that's a good
idea. How would the LP distance itself from social media pages or
profiles that post questionable content? Or, inflammatory, decisive,
etc? I think this idea is fraught with potential problems.

Wes is in charge of the website.
Social media contact information is pretty standard in most public
facing positions and not particularly controversial.
If you would like to make a motion or such please do, but otherwise
assisting Wes in contact information is routine and ordinary.

How is this approved without the input from the LNC?
