==The simple answer is that those of us without official pages simply
create new ones, separate from our campaign activities - But that would be
a requirement for me to support the idea. I largely support it now, and
honestly don't understand the objection to providing another point of
contact for our members to more easily reach out to the LNC, so long as it
is done in an official manner, not representing people's personal profiles
as official.==
That was part of my request - I asked for "official" pages not personal
ones. Though I will note that when this was approved last year after
Trent's request, it was not limited in that way. I personally would never
want my personal page listed - not that there is anything inappropriate
there but I often reflect on deeply personal matters such as spirituality
that have no place in the political realm.
I would also like to see the regional discussion groups listed and a way to
contact the whole LNC in one form.
We need to make things *easier* for members to reach out and interact.
That was part of my term goals and I will be consistently seeking that.

Just adding the fact that this is fairly standard for people to be
able
to follow things along. I personally don't care either way, but it
really shouldn't be an argument like was started. I will note that I
personally operate a separate page from my personal profile that
focuses
on LNC and Region 1 issues. Essentially letting people know about
what
is going on in here if they aren't following, candidate news,
affiliate
news, activists doing awesome work, etc.
Just as I operate a separate page for my candidacy.
I plan on asking my replacement, whenever that happens, if they
would
like to have it once I am no longer the Region 1 Alternate for
whatever
reason. If not, I will take down the page.
I think as long as a profile on social media is doing what I
described
above, there should be no issue with linking them for those
interested
in following.
But, either way this goes, it doesn't affect me.
