Here are some thoughts I had I’d like share to Spur some brainstorming and discussion.

1. This particular idea is not a current priority but I wanted to put it out there because I think it should be an idea we toss around and evolve going into the December meeting. That being using 2019 to focus on identifying and training a volunteer “Field Coordinator” in each of the 50 states leading into 2020. I know we have staff and online resources for training although I think making an effort to train some of the best from each state but also training them to train others would be a good focus and goal in 2019. How should this be approached whether through the staff or by committee existing or new, or even combined with an effort that is already on going I hope we can discuss and develop.

2. As mentioned a few times, we’ve made some valuable investments but the result is a funding challenge I’m sure we can come up with ways to address. We’ve had a phenomenal year in membership and fundraising but along with those were phenomenal investments in tech, ballot access and more.

So for Lauren and Jess, I am at your disposal in anyway that you think I can add value to your efforts. I’m glad to write letters, make calls, etc.

I guess for all LNC members reply to this letter in the Afirmitive if you’d like to make yourself available for such assistance if the staff would find it helpful. (I’m sure many have or are already assisting in many valuable ways, but especially for the newer members it may be beneficial to staff to know who is ready to be called upon to assist)
