[Lnc-business] Fwd: Letter to the LNC Requesting the Resignation of Joshua Smith as At Large Representative

If this comes up to any kind of vote I will have to recuse myself due to my political relationship with Ms Ruff.
Having said that we should respect Ms Willis's wishes on the matter as much as possible. To my knowledge at this point there has been no public complaint by her, just acknowledgment of the break up and hints of personality conflict, so we have nothing actionable.
If more knowledge becomes public (from either party) then perhaps the situation changes.
Given all that it, resignation or not becomes a question of how Mr Smith feels he can best serve the party, his personal needs, and his conscience (note that is not meant to imply guilt or not).

Colleagues,
I received a letter from a member in my Region calling for the resignation
of Josh Smith. I think it important that such things be discussed,
professionally, prior to any sort of motions being made by this body. We
have a responsibility to review and respond to such requests.
Please review the attached letter which alleges violation of the NAP by Mr
Smith in the form of domestic abuse.
