[Lnc-business] While talking about alternative voting

LPNH has had this as a legislative focus for a long while, and have been
pushing Bills for years to implement Approval Voting in NH.
The Center for Election Sciences is also engaged in non partisan efforts
to push Approval Voting across the country, I regularly communicate with
them and aide with their lobbying efforts in New England.

LPMA has been working with Fairvote to implement Ranked Choice Voting in
Massachusetts, and Maine recently got RCV implemented for partisan
elections.

I'm incredibly partial to approval voting myself from a mathematical
standpoint and the applications of Arrows Theorem of Voting Fairness,
and have actually actively opposed RCV in NH because of the bills that
have been submitted included replacing our multi member districts (up to
30+ candidates for 11 seats) with ranked party slate voting. But I
recognize NH has a very unique electoral system that is especially set
up to make RCV incompatible, but Approval Voting the ideal.

This IS a state by state issue though, and I know North Dakota is
starting to see traction with Approval voting due to the efforts of CES.
And I would support LP Involvement in the efforts.
