[Lnc-business] Communication Between National and Affiliates

I have mixed thoughts on this.
There are many members at the county and state level who have nothing at
all to do with the national level. Likewise, we have members who only care
about national, and don't engage locally.
I don't think that a state or county affiliate needs to be included in the
planning of a national-sponsored event, per se. I certainly don't want to
create an environment in which the national party needs to "clear" events
first.
These are all distinct organizations, and what one does may or may not be
pertinent to what the other is doing at any given time.
I do see these as separate entities, which can and will operate independent
of each other at times. I do agree that cohesion is important, but I am
leery of requiring coordination beyond an FYI in most cases...I just don't
want to encourage a territorial approach to event planning.
