My vote will be in favor of the resolution.

1) After consulting with the state chairs in Region 1, the question is
divided straight down the middle in a 3-3-5 vote. I was not able to receive
input from everyone but I talked to a some of on the phone. Some of emailed
myself and the Region 1 Chair group with thier thoughts. Some of
participated in my facebook poll of the general population and I discerned
their vote through that medium. Leaving me as the tie breaker, I vote in
favor because I do not see any language that is contrary to our platform
and I find it essential to reaffirm our platform from time to time.

2) On social media, I had 143 people participate in a poll that was shared
on my personal page, on each state affiliate's group, and on the Region 1
discussion forum. Overwhelmingly, the population spoke, 68% voting in favor
of the resolution. Josh Smith, At-Large representative, also posted a poll
with near identical language to mine and hit a larger audience. His poll
received 364 and 80% voted in favor. It is clear to me that the majority of
libertarians, at least on social media, are in favor of this resolution.

3) Further, I believe this is timely. The government is only just out of
shutdown and only temporarily. The wall discussion has not elapsed and it
is important for us to put out a clarifying position on the subject, not in
reaction to a media event but proactively, understanding that our President
will either strike a deal or declare an emergency in order to get all or
some funding for his project. The timing is ripe in my mind for our message.
