Richard,
The process has not been ongoing for six months. The email requesting
applications went out to the public barely a month ago on January 22nd.
Prior to that the search committee was probably tasked with coming up
with a detailed job description and setting parameters for their ideal
candidate.
I remember a timeline discussion at the last LNC meeting that led me to
believe that we would not have a new ED in place until later this Spring
to give the process a chance to find the correct person to lead the
every day operations of the party. This is not a task that can be done
or should be done under the scrutiny of 14 other LNC members.
I eagerly await the report of the search committee at the upcoming LNC
meeting in just a couple weeks.
Live Free,
---
