[Lnc-business] Point of Inquiry - Article 7.6

Mrs. Harlos,

On the contrary, it will be my pleasure to utilize this term in the future and I thank you for introducing it to me.  Libertarians deserve to have it hurled at them often.

I did not get an opportunity to comment or respond to your statements regarding the conduct on the mailing list and how often things get regrettably beyond passionate.  I have a big mouth and too often taste my own shoe leather, more than most people but it's a curse of Libertarianism.  Your point was well taken and I appreciate your integrity and your work ethic. I can only imagine how much time you spend working on projects for the LP and the amount of preparation that goes into being Secretary.

Unfortunately, we will probably continue to disagree on a great many things in the future, but I will also endeavor to argue principles rather than persons.

Thanks again for the Mad Libs.

-Jeff Lyons

Mr. Lyons I hope my wording of non-troversy was not taken as disrespect, I didn’t intend any. Facebook culture has made certain new terms standard vocabulary for me now.  My husband has reconciled himself to the fact that my use of “butthurt” is alas, here to stay along with kthxbai.

I appreciate everyone's feedback on this "non-troversy"!  It was a question that arose in a long car ride with nothing to do but talk about Party Business.  I have some ideas, which I have discussed with some of the LNC members already and solicited some feedback, regarding ways to get alternates (and region reps as well) more tools to help with the affiliate and membership support mission in their regions, generally related to this Policy Manual change with committee population.  I would be satisfied by a ruling of the Chair as the final word on this matter, at his convenience.  I understand we have much to follow up on (and recover from) after travelling to this meeting this weekend.  I had a great time and I think we had a great meeting, and I am so thankful for the progress we are making towards Liberty in our Lifetime.

Thanks for all you do for the Liberty of Others.

Very Respectfully,

-Jeff Lyons

I am in agreement with this position, Whitney.  Thank you!

I will, however, make every effort possible to attend whenever I am

able. Assuming it is ruled that I have not vacated my seat, I have

already taken required days off work and am ready to make my

reservations for the meeting in Austin.
