Thank you Mr. Smith.  I'm happy to endorse your response rather than having to engage this lunacy myself.

Not analogous.

Land rights are based on evidence of ownership and clear lines of ancestry and ownership.  Palestinians have huge databases of who owned what in 1948 with papers and govt records, as well as clear geneological records..

American Indians have far less clear records but do have treaties where those few surviving tribes were given certain lands. They are STILL fighting to protect those lands from encroaching governents. LP used to have a very good plank on this written with help from Russell Means.http://lpedia.org/1992_National_Platform#22._AMERICAN_INDIAN_RIGHTS22. AMERICAN INDIAN RIGHTS

The major factors underlying the unconscionable plight of America's Indians may be summarized as follows: (1) the unresolved complexity of dual national citizenship; (2) the attrition of reservation lands and abridgement of Indian rights to remaining properties; (3) the subjugation of individual Indians to the Bureau of Indian Affairs and tribal governmental authority; and (4) various federal commitments to provide the tribes with health, education, and welfare benefits "forever" in exchange for expropriated lands.

We favor the following remedies, respectively: (1) individual Indians should be free to select their citizenship, if any, and tribes should be allowed to choose their level of autonomy, up to absolute sovereignty; (2) Indians should have their just property rights restored, including rights of easement, access, hunting and fishing; (3) the Bureau of Indian Affairs should be abolished and tribal members allowed to decide the extent and nature of their government, if any; and (4) negotiations should be undertaken to exchange various otherwise unclaimed and unowned federal properties for any and all remaining governmental obligations to the tribes.

We further advocate holding fully liable those responsible for any and all damages which have resulted from authorization of, or engagement in, resource development on reservation lands, including damages done by careless disposal of uranium tailings and other mineral wastes.

By your same standards, you should be lobbying to give all American lands back to the indigenous peoples here.
When will you be forfeiting your home and land and returning to where your ancestors came from?
Be the change Carol. Lead the way.

I didn't get the incoming message from Carol Moore, although it appears to have been sent to the LNC business list?

But, I agree with Joshua Smith's statement, and thank him for replying.

Carol,

There is nothing in here supporting land grabbing or war. He is saying that he would end foreign aid to ALL countries, including Israel, but that as an American Jew, he would support personal donations and voluntary donations from American Jews that wanted to help the state or Israel. He says the same for American Palestinians.

This is either bad reading comprehension or intentional dishonesty on your part.

It's also possible to dislike what the state of Israel does and still support Jews having freedom of religion, and a place to live, etc.

Please don't clutter our email feed with your anti-semetic nonsense.

Thank you

War against anyone who doesn't kiss his favorite country's butt, anyway...

He certainly seems to have bought into paranoia to condone Israel's land grabbing and violations of Palestinian and others rights. Imagine his press releases....

That's what I get for not sufficiently supporting transparency on this issue.

....Alan King famously said "A short summary of every Jewish holiday is 'They tried to kill us. We won. Let's eat.'"

As an American Jew I recognize what Israel is. In addition to being our ancestral homeland, Israel is the place where we will never allow anyone but ourselves to be responsible for our security. Let the rest of the world rage at our actions -- we must ensure that we do not vanish from this earth in the face of enemies who are dedicated to that cause.

We've seen in the last 3 years what happens when a President is in the White House who is not a friend of Israel. Obama is not an enemy of Israel, but he's not a friend. And that's ok because Israel is the place where we do not want to depend on the goodwill of anyone. Israel is where we will always chose self-reliance. If we ended all foreign aid to all countries, Israel loses less than the combined aid to all Arab nations. Israel is currently handcuffed trying to appease an (at best) indifferent President. I do not want Israel to be restrained in issues of national security. An Israel free from ties to the US Government would be free to act as it saw fit.

And the Diaspora recognizes its obligation to the state of Israel. We will make up voluntarily the money that Israel loses from the US. I freely accept and honor an individual commitment for myself to help Israel. I would not ever want to volunteer another to service however, because this obligation must be taken freely. As we read in our Haggadahs:

'The wicked son says? "What is this service to you?" By saying, "to you," he implies "but not to himself." Since he has excluded himself from the people at large, he denies the foundation of our faith.'.....
