There were some benefits to being born in 1957.
One of them was to have the military draft ended in 1973, yet to be too
old to have to register for the draft in later years.
Another was to not be too young to have never known Karl Hess.
Today is the 25th anniversary of his passing. It was an honor and a
privilege to have had him as a friend. Hey, I was his accountant in his
later years, and I didn't go to jail!
It was an irony that Richard Nixon, who was partially responsible for
the founding of the Libertarian Party, died on the same day.
I just wanted to remember a great libertarian--and Libertarian Party
member--on this day.
