Fellow LNC Members,

I have received a resolution request from a member in my Region. I will
paste the text here and hope to get timely cosponsorship for a vote. I
welcomed suggestions if there are any objections.

*A RESOLUTION CONDEMNING THE DEBT CEILING EXTENSION AND OUT OF CONTROL
SPENDING*

WHEREAS the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2019 extends the debt ceiling for
two-years, allowing nearly limitless borrowing from the Federal Reserve.

WHEREAS the act does not include any caps on spending or spending cuts,
continuing record-breaking deficits totaling $1 Trillion Dollars a year.

WHEREAS the U.S. Government is already $22 Trillion Dollars in debt, which
burdens future generations without their consent.

WHEREAS the Republicans and Democrats routinely work together to continue
the deficit and grow the debt.

WHEREAS the Libertarian Party calls for passage of a “Balanced Budget
Amendment” to the U.S. Constitution, providing the budget is balanced
exclusively by cutting expenditures and not by raising taxes.

BE IT RESOLVED the Libertarian National Committee condemns the Bipartisan
Budget Act of 2019 and any increase to the debt ceiling not tied to
spending cuts.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that while both Republicans and Democrats work
together to grow the debt, only the Libertarian Party is committed to
cutting wasteful spending and balancing the budget.
