Furthermore, Section 4 of the policy manual states :
"The Chair shall provide advice and consent to the Executive Director on 
the appointment, employment, and termination of all LPHQ personnel."

Leaving the discretion of hiring solely to the Executive Director, with 
the consent of The Chair, not the LNC.

This was also a contentious issue that we recently debated amending, 
during an Electronic meeting earlier this year, ahead of the search for 
a new Executive Director, and this clause was not amended due to 
concerns by Members of the LNC that we were teetering on overstepping 
our bounds in micromanaging the daily business of HQ by inserting 
ourselves into hiring decisions by the Executive Director.
