It looks like Joe Dehn didn't send his proposal to the entire LNC so I'm
forwarding it for your consideration. With a few modifications I would
be willing to sponsor an email ballot to approve this procedure in the
event the convention is cancelled.
Please note that I am not looking for co-sponsors at this time. We need
a few days to consider Joe's proposal and to make any needed changes.
Also note that should the nomination devolve to the LNC that we will
need a two thirds vote of the entire LNC to approve POTUS and VPOTUS
nominees.

Joe,
I agree with Dan that you have presented a well thought out plan for the
worst case scenario that the convention is cancelled.
At first glance I do see a couple items that would need to be corrected
before I would be willing to sponsor an email ballot.
Although this procedure is outside the Bylaws mandated voting procedure
for POTUS, I'm sure we will get negative feedback for limiting
nominations to nine candidates (23 May morning - FIRST NOMINATION BALLOT
(with up to nine candidates listed). Since our rules limit both POTUS
and VPOUTS to those who have gotten the support of at least 30
delegates, do you have a suggestion on how and when delegates tokens can
be submitted to teh Secretary?
My other concern is the lack of a procedure for VPOTUS. Our rules
require the same procedure to be used as that for POTUS but I think that
would be very confusing for delegates to run simultaneously.
Thanks for getting this underway,
---
