Gentlemen, decades-long friends, and official representatives to the
committee, 

Please pass this request along as you see might be best. 

As an elected delegate with a wife who is exposed to Covid-19 on a daily
basis as is a clinical laboratory scientist in a hospital lab, I choose
not to risk being a possible-to-probable carrier of this infection to
others at an in-person convention.  That's my personal moral choice.  If
it disenfranchises me from being able to fulfill my duties as an elected
delegate, I'm confident that will be noted by my alternate should one be
available, although I think the higher likelihood is I and all available
alternates from my state will be absent    

I therefore humbly request the opportunity to be able to participate in
the convention as scheduled via an online technology.
