Dear colleagues:

I hope all is well with you. I am forwarding to you a statement by several delegates from the Libertarian Party of Maryland. Incidentally, Mr. Dassing evidently sent his message at 11:52 a.m. EDT; however, I didn’t receive his message until roughly 12:28 p.m. EDT. (For some reason, his message is marked SPAM.)

As always, thanks for your work for liberty.

Take care,

Jim

Official Statement & Proposal By Maryland Mises Caucus Delegates In Regard To The 2020 Libertarian Convention

James Lark,

Party chair Nicholas Sarwark has requested as delegates we reach out to our regional representatives and reconsider our position on holding the Libertarian National Convention virtually. At this time the Maryland Mises Caucus delegates stand unified against an online convention and propose the following for consideration as a resolution.

*	A virtual convention may not be permitted unless a majority vote by national delegates were to pass such a convention
*	The Libertarian Party make public all offers and bids from other cities who have expressed interest in holding our convention
*	The Chair Nicholas Sarwark publicly release all conversations with Austin Hotels and Convention Center.

The Maryland Mises Caucus believes that allowing a virtual convention without majority vote in favor by elected delegates is an issue of integrity and would be allowing the state or a person of influence to dictate the Libertarian Party?s bylaws.

Signed by Maryland Delegates 05/09/2020
