The way to get there is not by spending wastefully.</div><div><br></div><div>Also, suppose the budget were $10,000,000 annually. Would you prefer that amount of $10,010,000 annually? Ten thousand is ten thousand - whether out of twenty thousand or a billion. Money wasted on a convention (needlessly) is money that we cannot spend on things like our actual mission.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I agree that many of Mr. Benedict's proposals relate to expenditures that can be avoided with better planning. So - perhaps we should plan better. As far as those requiring trade-offs, I agree, if trade-offs have been considered and the option chosen, that's the way it is - in some cases, though, it is good for future committees and LNCs to learn from the results of those trade-offs to determine if they were worth it.</div>
