One of my delegates to Natcon complained about the cost of
everything and wanted a student discount. SO he wanted the same

there are some college students that want the BSM…for a discount.
<div class="">I can understand the desire to get more student

they have to pay that big awful $25..then it will mean that much

<div class="moz-cite-prefix">I'll propose the opposite
question first: would any student care if they weren't
considered a "bylaws sustaining member"? Would they
even know what that meant or care to listen to an
answer? I probably wouldn't bring it up, though might
put it in the fine print.<br class="">
<br class="">
Why join is in the "benefits TBD". <br class="">
<br class="">
I can imagine the benefits including whatever seems to
work, such as a nice shirt, a nice set of bumper
stickers and other stuff, special access to Dr. Jim
Lark, a membership card, a free candidate for
President yard sign or window decal, or a free book,
LP News if they check the box requesting it, etc.
Whatever we can afford. Probably not an AR-15. I'd
experiment to see what students want, plus do some
research.<br class="">
<br class="">
I seem to recall $10 memberships at other student
organizations but didn't want to get too deep into
deciding benefits. We have free memberships now. Plus
all these others.<br class="">

Dear LNC,<br class="">
<br class="">
I'd like to offer some type of student
membership for $10 with appropriate benefits
TBD. These memberships would not be
considered "bylaws Sustaining Members."<br
class="">
<br class="">
First, I'd like feedback from the LNC on the
concept, before I get into suggestions on
programs. Second, I'd like the bylaws and
Policy Manual aficionados to advise on what
would have to happen for the technical
implementation if that were decided upon. <br
