I'm going to give a quick example to explain the difference in the
expirations. I'm not going to be extremely careful about the
terminology I'm using here. So forgive me if I misstate a
particular. <br>

Let's say John Doe joined the Libertarian Party on 1/1/2015 for $25.<br>
On 10/1/2015, John Doe contributes another $25 to renew his
membership.<br>
<br>
He never donates any other money.<br>
<br>
On 10/1/2016 his "Sustaining Membership" expires.<br>
On 1/1/2017, his "Foundation Membership" expires.<br>
<br>
Again, I didn't design this system. I've advocated for more
simplicity and clarity.<br>
