The Saturday and Sunday (Torch Club) morning convention breakfasts
are from 7 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. both days. <br>

Would you join me in urging the convention committee to shorten the
business time for platform and bylaws so those breakfasts can start
later? We're about to put preliminary schedules in print for LP
News.<br>

I'd be willing to bet the overwhelming majority of attendees would
rather shorten bylaws and platform debate time by one hour each so
we could get up one hour later for breakfast. Platform and bylaws
debates always create a lot of complaints from attendees, along the
lines of "this is how y'all spend your time?!". I'd shorten them
because normal humans aren't interested in the topics, but also to
give people an extra hour of sleep. Whole platforms can be
eviscerated in minutes, and rebuilt. No need to spend extended hours
on it or the bylaws.<br>

Rewarding our best donors (Torch Club) with a 7 a.m. breakfast?
That's just cruel in my opinion. <br>

I'm prepared to lose this argument, so don't stress over it. <br>
<br>
In other Convention news, package sales are <b>outstanding</b>.
Much higher than for other conventions 10 weeks out. We'll probably
sell out of hotel rooms pretty soon too. Better make your
reservation ASAP, or you'll need to find a nearby hotel.<br>

Overall, the convention committee is doing a great job. The
convention website is beautiful thanks to Denise. <br>
