Pursuant to the Policy Manual, Section 2.04(2), I am advising the LNC<br>
of a potential legal action.<br>

Chris Wiest, our attorney in the KET lawsuit in Kentucky, intends to<br>
file an amicus brief in support of the Libertarian Party of Ohio in<br>
their ballot access case in the 6th Circuit.  Counsel for the Ohio<br>
party has been consulted and approves. Mr. Wiest is preparing this<br>
brief pro bono on behalf of the Libertarian Party of Kentucky and<br>
would not charge us to be included as a party to the amicus.<br>
<br>
I have attached the District Court decision being appealed and the<br>
statement of issues on appeal for those who may not be familiar with<br>
the case.<br>
<br>
The filing deadline is June 29 (7 days after LP Ohio's deadline).  I<br>
intend to ask for Executive Committee approval at the next available<br>
opportunity to join as an amicus in this suit.<br>
