<div>Patrick,</div>

<div>The motion to suspend by and email vote would be out of order. See the LP bylaws Article 14.5:</div>

That candidate's nomination shall then be declared null and void unless the suspended candidate appeals the suspension to the Judicial Committee within seven days of receipt of notification of suspension. The resolution of suspension must state the specific reasons for suspension and must be signed by each member of the National Committee agreeing thereto. <div>The motion to suspend must come in a meeting. That could be a teleconference, video conference or physical meeting. Email does not suffice as a meeting. As it would be a special meeting the purpose of the meeting would have to be in the call of the meeting. The call for the Sept. 25th meeting did not include this purpose so that could not be brought up then.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>What would need to be done would be get 5 other sponsors for the meeting for the purpose to suspend Johnson and Weld. I also think that it would need to be a divided question. The nominees were elected at convention separately and the matter to suspend should be voted on separately.</div>
