Do we yet feel we have certainty about what we legally can donate to the Mark Miller campaign for RR Commission in TX? Did we get a response from Paula Edwards about it?

I just want to summarize what I think the status is of two potential motions on the subject of donating to Mark Miller's campaign.

There was MOTION 1:

I move an email ballot to have the LNC contribute $5,000 to
the Mark Miller campaign in Texas,
and $15,000 to the Libertarian Party of Texas, with the proviso that the entire
$15,000 be used to support the Mark Miller campaign, and this entire motion
with the proviso that it is legal for the LNC to do this.

This motion was co-sponsored by Redpath,
Marsh, Vohra

Then Daniel Hayes said we should wait until we get some clarity on the laws, so people held off.

There was MOTION 2:

I move an email ballot to have the LNC contribute $5,000 directly to the Mark Miller for Railroad Commissioner campaign in Texas with the proviso that it is legal for the LNC to do this.

This motion was co-sponsored by Hayes, Harlos, and Bittner. Goldstein said he was willing to co-sponsor something but thought the motion should specify a budget line, so that seemed to be wanting a different motion.
