Yes! Every other currently listed story on the front page of LP.org explicitly mentions our party. Of course it's good to cover and praise Libertarians who are fighting for freedom, but it's also good to cover others who are fighting for freedom, who do <i><b>not</b></i> necessarily have any connection to the Libertarian Party*.<br><br> The fact that doing so can in turn generate positive exposure for the LP among folks who might not otherwise be much aware of us...<br><br>http://savescranton.com/2016/01/13/the-ball-rolling/<br>http://savescranton.com/2016/07/14/thanks-to-the-libertarian-party-for-the-shout-out/<br><br> ...is a nice side effect, but it's not the main reason we should do it. We should do it because it shows
that we are not just another self-promoting organization mainly concerned with tooting our own
horn, but part of a larger movement for freedom: <b>It sends the message that <i>if you stand for freedom, we stand with you</i>. </b>Isn't that part of what being the Party of Principle is about? <b><br><br></b>Love & Liberty,<b><br></b> ((( starchild )))<br>At-Large Representative, Libertarian National Committee<br> (415) 625-FREE<br> @StarchildSF<b><br><br></b>*I don't know whether Gary St. Fleur or his Save Scranton group have any connections to the Libertarian Party, but if they do the article does not mention it. If they haven't been aware of our supported the LP in the past, this kind of recognition from us may make them more likely to do so in the future.<br><blockquote style="padding-left: 5px; margin-left: 0px; border-left: #0000ff 2px solid; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial,sans-serif; color: black;"><timhagan-tyr@yahoo.com><lnc-business@hq.lp.org><zzzhtml><zzzbody><div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif;font-size:16px"><div class="yahoo_quoted" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1480983045917_196827" style="display: block;"><div style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1480983045917_196826"><div style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1480983045917_196825"> </div> </div> </div></div></zzzbody></zzzhtml></lnc-business@hq.lp.org></timhagan-tyr@yahoo.com></blockquote></div></div></body></html>
