<p>How to list state party and state chair contact info has varied
over the years but I don't think the contacts were actually posted
on the previous LP.org website in the detail discussed below. <br>
</p>
<p>Here were the states: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://old.lp.org/states">http://old.lp.org/states</a></p>
<p>and here is an example of what was there for Connecticut:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://old.lp.org/state/connecticut/">http://old.lp.org/state/connecticut/</a></p>
<p>We did not create and publish a list of all 50 states chairs or
state parties. Instead, we linked to each of the 50 state
websites. Not all 50 states wanted their phones or emails
published. <br>
</p>
<p>The way we handle them on the new website is quite similar to the
old. Not saying its the best way, but just wanted to clear things
up on the current situation.</p>
<p>Contacts for all 50 state parties are posted here:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://lpaction.org/states/">https://lpaction.org/states/</a></p>
<p>But the state chairs list is password protected:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://lpaction.org/state-chairs/">https://lpaction.org/state-chairs/</a><br>

can see your argument Ken, but I think we ought to ask the state
affiliates themselves and see how they feel about it. If they
agree with you that it's better to just let people click on
their links, I'm cool with that. But if they'd like to have
their state-level contacts listed directly on the <a
href="http://LP.org" moz-do-not-send="true">LP.org</a> site
and commit to keeping that information updated, we ought to
respect their wishes. Meanwhile though, wasn't the default
supposed to be that all information from the old site gets
ported over unless there's a specific LNC decision to drop
something?</div>

Unless there's a major objection, I'd like to suggest
leaving the <a href="http://LP.org" moz-do-not-send="true">LP.org</a>
site simply pointing to the state affiliate's page... That
way staff doesn't have to run down new leadership for 50
different state affiliates. The affiliate website sites
should always have the most up-to-date contact information
for themselves. If state affiliates are struggling with
their website, Andy Burns has been building sites for state
parties.

</div>
<div>In the past I've called the National office to ask that
information be corrected for KY. Student group info was
always woefully out of date. I think it's best to let the
states keep their stuff up to date and just have Nat
redirect them to the state website. The state
contacts on the old <a href="http://LP.org"
moz-do-not-send="true">LP.org</a> are probably mostly
outdated at this point anyway.</div>

By the way, I've been meaning to mention that
the interactive map now at the top of the LNC page (<a
href="https://www.lp.org/libertarian-national-committee/"
rel="noreferrer" target="_blank"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://www.lp.org/<wbr>libertarian-national-<wbr>committee/</a>)
is a great addition to the site. It's nice to be able to
quickly see which states are in which regions and who
the LNC regional rep. and alternate are for each state.
Kudos to whoever added that feature!<br>
<br>
I notice the similar and longer-existing
Affiliates page map that lets people click on each
state's image to access that state party's website (<a
href="https://www.lp.org/state-affiliates"
rel="noreferrer" target="_blank"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://www.lp.org/state-<wbr>affiliates</a>)
doesn't list any state-level contact information however
– has that information not been ported over from the old
version of the website yet? Names and contact info for
Libertarian student groups used to appear on the state
party pages on <a href="http://LP.org"
moz-do-not-send="true">LP.org</a> (see e.g. <a
href="https://web.archive.org/web/20160807012459/http://www.lp.org:80/state/california/"
rel="noreferrer" target="_blank"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://web.archive.org/web/<wbr>20160807012459/http://www.lp.<wbr>org:80/state/california/</a>).
Having at least one state-level leadership contact for
each state listed on the Affiliates page would seem to
be in order.<br>
