Hello All,

> Caryn Ann, I appreciate you mentioning the work I've already put into the Social Media Process Review Committee. Yes, I would like to stay on the Social Media Process Review Committee.

I realized when Brett resigned that an LNC spot had opened on the SMPRC. Likewise, I realized when I was appointed to the LNC, that a non-LNC spot had also opened on the SMPRC.

So, two spots became open:

1) An LNC-member spot
2) A non-LNC-member spot.

I'm no longer able to be in the non-LNC member position. But, would like to be able to be in the open LNC member position. I also understand that this will take a vote from the LNC, as I recall reading the LNC notes when Erin Adams was appointed to her LNC-alt position. Erin had been on the COC as a non-LNC member. It took an LNC vote to move her to the status of an LNC-member on the same committee. Which made sense, as Erin had already been doing that committee work.

For those who aren't familiar with my prior LP volunteer work, I've been a social media volunteer for the LP since 2013. (With a short break due to a death in my family) I assist with social media both for the national LP (where I started) and my state (LPIN) social media team. It may not be apparent to those who don't work within social media, but there are layers of nuance, protocols, and best practices (which are often changing) of which I'm knowledgeable. The idea of the SMPRC originated with the LNC prior to me being an LNC member. I was fortunate to be suggested as a good choice to the LNC members on the committee, and was subsequently interviewed, and appointed to the committee.

I'd like to stay on the SMPRC, and am asking the LNC to consider the above and vote as you see fit.

With the new mailboxes, we'll probably see a lot of timing quirks like what just happened to me. My Gmail account only picks up new messages from my LP mailbox every so often, maybe every 30-60 minutes. The messages don't arrive real-time in my Gmail. So even though Caryn Ann sent her messages almost 30 minutes earlier than I sent mine, I didn't see her messages until after I had sent mine. I was briefly wondering how I missed those...then I "figgered" it out.

I'll have to remember that. If I'm trying to send email ballot results immediately after the end, I'll need to go peek ahead in my LP inbox to make sure I have them all....or wait up to an hour for them to show up in my Gmail.

Looking at the April LNC meeting minutes, the motion to create this committee specified: "three LNC members and/or alternates and two non-LNC members whom shall be elected by the LNC members of the committee."

The LNC appointed Bittner, Hayes, and Nekhaila.

Then those LNC-appointed members chose Foxall and Van Horn for the non-LNC seats.

We've had TWO changes in terms of this committee. Bittner resigned, creating a vacancy in an LNC seat. Van Horn was in a non-LNC seat, but now she is the Region 3 Representative, making her ineligible to be in a non-LNC seat, so we also have a vacancy in a non-LNC seat.

However, there happens to be a vacancy in an LNC seat because Bittner resigned, so we can keep Van Horn on the committee if we just move her to another position.

I would co-sponsor a motion to appoint Elizabeth Van Horn to the Social Media Process Review Committee (to fill the Bittner vacancy).

Then those members would choose to fill the vacancy in the non-LNC seat.
