<pre wrap="">Thank you Wes - so if there were additional changes to be considered
would those be brought to you? Is there any plan to have an
authoritative style guide? It seems all of things now need to be in a
certain place - and I am still very unclear how the initial colours
were approved to begin with - it seems that the logo was - and that we
just took the colour suggestions from the thesis paper submitted to us
- and that is problematic because that thesis paper states explicit
ideological reasons for the colour choices and the statement is in
conflict with the Statement of Principles. If we adopted the colours
based on that, I have a real issue with that - and would like to
remediate that.

All deviations used by staff from the original design presented or
additional standards, including fonts, colors, placement, etc., have been
approved by me after extensive discussion with staff.
So, to your question "who decided," I decided after discussing with staff
and volunteers (including graphic designers) and of course all my decisions
are subject to change by the chair or entire LNC.
A few key changes from original designs was using a darker gray (cool gray
11c instead of cool gray 9c). Things we printed with the lighter gray looked
washed out. I decided to remove the text "Minimum Government - Maximum
Freedom" from underneath the word "Libertarian."
Most of the decisions involving additional standards or changes weren't
attempts at perfection; rather, they were more along the lines of "let's
pick some standards and run with them so we can get all this new stuff
designed and made, but let's also allow some flexibility as we expect things
to change as we learn things like yellow doesn't show up on white, etc."
To the degree we have design standards, they are here:

I was not on the LNC when we did the logo switch and have some
questions. Where might I find the enacting motion for that? Did it
include things like all the way down to fonts and colours? If not,
who decided that?
That's enough to start.
