I paid for the list on September 3. We received it that day. took til Sept
<br>
5 for the corrected list to arrive which had bdays which they did not send
<br>
at first. We turned in the corrections Sept 16 and found more than enough
<br>
but they refused to accept them and said we should have submitted them Aug
<br>
20 which was the original submission date as well as it took til Aug 29 for
<br>
their results. We actually paid over 300 for the list twice, once to
<br>
nationbuilder to get a map, once to SOS to get latest data plus $82 for
<br>
copies of petitions to see what they rejected.
<br>
<br>
<br>
I have personally spent about $2k out of pocket and about $5k of
<br>
professional services. We will be running write in and may well WIN. Under
<br>
4,000 people voted in the primary which is the "real election" in a
<br>
heavily Republican district (80 percent plus). Barely double digits. 3
<br>
Republicans who live in the county which has the vast majority of the
<br>
district's voters combined could not force a run off. The people are very
<br>
angry at their corrupt local politicians and did not turn out for them. The
<br>
winning Republican was from another county which has a small part of the
<br>
district. There will be even less reason for people to vote in November so
<br>
turnout maybe 1,000-2,000 voters in a district of 32k or even less. We can
<br>
beat that.
<br>
<br>
<br>
BTW, yes, we are already suing the state over the charges for the voter
<br>
list and will most likely sue them separately over
<br>
<br>
<br>
A) Number of signatures
<br>
<br>
<br>
B) Refusing to consider our evidence in Doug's case, with money damages
<br>
attached
<br>
<br>
<br>
Please also share my explanations with the list. I was not going to ask for
<br>
LNC funds directly but would appreciate individual contributions, any help
<br>
with fundraising (volunteer or commission), etc.
