<p>The delegates in convention can do pretty much whatever they want within the bound of the Bylaws and Roberts. We have had Bylaws and/or Convention Rules that take effect immediately, the change to Approval Voting for At Large and JC at Columbus that turned into a major fiasco, for instance.</p>

<p>The solution would be a Bylaws change allowing an immediate election of a JC that will hold office until 2022 when the regular cycle would resume. Caryn Ann is correct in that the Bylaws cannot be suspended. We cannot resume the election as unfinished business because all business terminated at the end of the convention, we didn't table it until the next meeting.</p>
