<br>
<br>
I just wanted to take a moment to thank our patient and hard working
<br>
staff and legal council for their efforts to advance the Party during
<br>
these tribulating and uncertain times, both due to COVID19 and the
<br>
status of our convention.
<br>
<br>
I want to thank Dan Fishman for pulling all of the stops to create an
<br>
online convention environment that may or may not be realized, and
<br>
sacrificing sleepless nights to do so.
<br>
<br>
I want to thank Tara DeSisto for continuing to push for fundraising in
<br>
an environment with unusual conditions, not seen since 9/11 and the 2008
<br>
recession, that is challenging to raise funds in.
<br>
<br>
I want to thank Oliver Hall, whom which I have had the pleasure to work
<br>
with in the past, for representing us as council for the last half
<br>
decade, including our State affiliates and candidates.
<br>
<br>
And lastly, I want to thank the delegates and Party members, for
<br>
tolerating the LNC as we work through these uncharted waters together,
<br>
and hope to come to a conclusion that upsets the least amount of people
<br>
for the least amount of time, because no matter what the LNC does as of
<br>
today, there will be trade-offs and sacrifices. We can only do the next
<br>
best thing, what that is is not yet determined, but I as a member am
<br>
determined to pick a plan that delivers us into action that is concrete,
<br>
achievable, and effective, rather than kicking the can down the road of
<br>
uncertainty.
<br>
<br>
We as a body must demonstrate, not explicate, let each side of this
<br>
debate achieve victory through action. For any momentary "win" through
<br>
argument is a Pyrrhic victory: The resentment and ill will you stir up
<br>
is stronger and lasts longer than any momentary change of opinion.
<br>
<br>
I will see you all at Noon, prepare your best plans to move forward and
<br>
state your case clearly, we can only make one decision.
