Mr Chair,

While I am not questioning your authority to make that decision, I do have a couple other questions.

1. You mean the remote options we were discussing on the last call that you didn't stay on very long or participate in? The one where we specifically discussed who was looking into those options, and had a general consensus that there would be a few options ready to go? Those participation options? Yes Mr Hayes was pointing out difficulties, but was also quite clear that he was in support of at least one, and maybe more.

2. You mean your vision of a convention that you announced to the world more than once YOU WILL NOT CHAIR? Since that is the case perhaps you should leave that appointment to the person who will be chairing it, as your vision seems substantially less relevant under those circumstances.

I agree with you on as much participation as can be set up, I have been quite public in that. However, your methods, your actions, your ignoring of direct questions from members of this body, and your announced unwillingness to perform your duties raise SERIOUS questions about your continued in involvement in this process. As serious, if not more serious than those you point at with Mr Hayes.

John Phillips
Libertarian National Committee Region 6 Representative
Cell 217-412-5973

On May 29, 2020 8:05 AM, Nicholas Sarwark via Lnc-business <lnc-business@hq.lp.org> wrote:

Dear All,

It has become clear that my vision for a second sitting of the Libertarian
National Convention that maximizes the participation of all delegates from
the first sitting who wish to participate is no longer shared by Mr. Hayes.

In failing to plan for meaningful remote participation by any delegates who
are unable or unwilling to attend in person and in failing to accurately
communicate my contractual concerns with the convention contract being
negotiated with the Rosen hotel group, Mr. Hayes has made it clear that he

is no longer able to serve effectively in his role as Chair of the
Convention Oversight Committee. As such, I am removing him from the
Convention Oversight Committee and from the Chair of that Committee,
effective immediately.

I would like to publicly thank Mr. Hayes for his dedication and service to
the Libertarian Party and all of the hard work he has put in to planning
the convention to this point.

His replacement on the Committee as well as the new Convention Oversight
Committee Chair will be announced under separate cover.

Yours in liberty,
