<div dir='auto'>Thank you for all you have done sir. It has been an honor to serve with you, and I believe you have passed the torch to very capable hands.<br><br><div data-smartmail="gmail_signature">John Phillips<br>Libertarian National Committee Region 6 Representative<br>Cell 217-412-5973</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Jun 21, 2020 10:00 AM, "james.lark--- via Lnc-business" <lnc-business@hq.lp.org> wrote:<br type="attribution" /><blockquote class="quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><p dir="ltr">Dear colleagues:
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
I hope all is well with you. It is my pleasure to announce that the Region
<br>
5 convention (held yesterday) elected Susan Hogarth and David Valente to
<br>
serve as the Region 5 representative and alternate representative,
<br>
respectively. Their terms of service will begin as of 12:00 p.m. tomorrow
<br>
(Monday, June 22). As an aside, thanks again to Daniel Fishman for his
<br>
assistance with the Region 5 convention.
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Allow me to offer my thanks to Ms. Hogarth for her fine work as the Region 5
<br>
alternate during this term. I greatly appreciate the support and friendship
<br>
I have received from her. As you may know, Mr. Valente is the chair of the
<br>
Libertarian Party of West Virginia. I have had the pleasure of working with
<br>
him in that capacity; in addition, we worked together as members of the
<br>
State Central Committee of the Libertarian Party of Virginia. I am
<br>
confident that Ms. Hogarth and Mr. Valente will be valuable members of the
<br>
LNC team.
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Allow me also to offer my thanks for the support and friendship I have
<br>
received from you during my service as the Region 5 representative. I have
<br>
had the honor of representing Region 5 in its various constellations and
<br>
names since May, 2004. Given the recent substantial increase in my faculty
<br>
responsibilities at the University of Virginia, and given that people such
<br>
as Ms. Hogarth and Mr. Valente were willing to step up to the plate, I
<br>
decided that it was the appropriate time for others to have that honor.
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Please note that since my service as an LNC member will end tomorrow, my
<br>
service as a member of the Executive Committee and a member of the
<br>
Employment Policy and Compensation Committee (which I chair) will also end.
<br>
I am able to remain a member of the 2020 Awards Committee, since there is an
<br>
open position on the Awards Committee for someone who is not an LNC member.
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
As always, thanks for your work of liberty. Please do not hesitate to
<br>
contact me if I can be of assistance to you.
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Take care,
<br>
<br>
Jim
