I'll second this. Another good housekeeping change to streamline procedures while cutting down slightly on the length of the bloated LNC Policy Manual ( https://www.lp.org/files/LNC%20Policy%20Manual-Adopted%202012-05-02.pdf ).

Love & Liberty,
                               ((( starchild )))

P.S. - I notice the message below was addressed to both "lnc-business at hq.lp.org" and "lnc-business at lp.org", and echo Norm Olsen's recent question regarding what the purpose is if any for the two parallel and apparently duplicative LNC-Discuss list addresses "lnc-discuss at hq.lp.org" "lnc-discuss at lp.org" (I am responding only to "lnc-business at hq.lp.org"). Can we get rid of one set of these addresses and reduce unnecessary emails?

However, the above does not address amendments, substitutions, etc. Therefore, someone could make a motion to “Rename the Audit Committee to the Audit Oversight Committee”, and it would have to be in writing, but someone else could move to amend to add sixteen pages of text, and then the Chair and/or Secretary could require that amendment to be in writing, but the Policy Manual would not require it. I find this section to be useless, and the discretion to require it as appropriate to the motion being moved exists without this.
