[Lnc-business] convention duration and costs

There is nothing wrong with saving money, but most of the items that Mr.
Benedict proposes either:

a. could have been avoided with careful planning

b. or involve trade-offs that previous Convention Oversight Committees
have been fully aware of.

The bigger problem is - why - after 42 years of existence - does the
Libertarian Party still has to worry about saving $10,000 or $20,000 on its
National Conventions?

If we wanted to grow up and become a real political party, by now we would
have a $10,000,000 per year budget, so that having $20,000 in extra, wasted
spending on a convention would not be a big deal.

"Yes I'm too busy, but hopefully this email has the potential so help save
at least $10,000 to $20,000 in future savings.

I'm fully expecting the LNC to steal all of my ideas above and not stick
staff with putting on the convention. : )

      Wes Benedict, Executive Director"
