[Lnc-business] One more logo, very worth considering

Hi all,

I just received a very promising logo, forwarded by Norm, created by Aimee
Love. This is a grayscale version attached, and there are various color
options as well.

I believe that a logo must 1. Look good., and 2. Relate to the central
ideas and goals of an organization.

Our mission is cutting government. This logo clearly and cleverly shows
that. It doesn't really require any explanation. It's immediate, clear, and
helps define us by what we do: cut government.

In 2016, many people will be talking about liberty in the vaguest terms
possible, without pledging any major cuts in government. A logo like this
one would be a great step in clearly defining our party as government
cutters, not philosophizers.

I have seen a few mockups in which the capital is replaced with tanks, drug
war images, etc.

I strongly urge you to carefully consider the possibilities of this logo,
ways in which it could be attached to specific outreach on specific cuts,
and how it could help us spearhead major cuts to government.

It's easily scalable, recognizable on a tiny mobile phone (unlike our
current logo, which quickly loses coherence on a tiny screen).

It's a departure from the torch motif, but I frankly don't see a major
advantage to a torch. The RLC already uses it too. Why? Because it is such
a vague metaphor, and so devoid of any action, that anyone can use it.
