Doubtful, unless the regulations have changed. From the Campaign Guide for Political Party Committees (www.fec.gov/pdf/partygui.pdf), page 131:
Soft Money Ban
National party committees may not participate in any joint fundraiser where nonfederal or Levin funds are raised. 300.10.
The citation at the end is to Title 11 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 300, Section 10. This section also applies to an officer or agent acting on behalf of a national party committee or a national congressional campaign committee; and an entity that is directly or indirectly established, financed, maintained, or controlled by a national party committee or a national congressional campaign committee.

I assume this has been looked at before, but just in case… Is this a way for us to jointly raise money withnon-FEC-filing entities? http://www.fec.gov/pages/brochures/jointfundraising.shtml “Jointfundraising is fundraising conducted jointly by a political committee and oneor more other political committees or unregistered organizations. Jointfundraising rules apply to:
- Party committees;
- Party organizations not registered as political committees;
- Federal and/or nonfederal candidate committees;
- Nonparty, unauthorized political committees (nonconnected PACs); and
- Unregistered nonparty organizations. 11 CFR 102.17(a)(1)(i) and (2).”
At somepoint we might want to ask this question of our FEC consultant. Or, we mightwant to ask the consultant if they can think of a way of legally accomplishingwhat we are trying to do. Scott Lieberman
