Dear colleagues:

I hope all is well with you. In a separate message I shall send
you various reports for your consideration. Specifically, I shall send
you my Region 5, campus organizing, and International Representative
report. In addition, I shall send the reports of the 2016 Awards
Committee and the Employment Policy and Compensation Committee in my
capacity as chair of those committees.

Please note that the EPCC report contains two proposed motions
regarding changes to the Policy Manual. I don't believe these motions
contain anything controversial; as far as I can tell, my EPCC colleagues
Brett Bittner and Joshua Katz share my opinion. In any event, please
review these motions and let me know whether you have any objections.
Consideration of these motions during the meeting can take place during
the time allotted for the EPCC report.

As we approach the end of the 2014-2016 LNC term, allow me to thank
you for your work on behalf of the LP. Also, thank you for allowing me
the honor of serving as the LNC's International Representative, as chair
of the Awards Committee and the EPCC, and as a member of the Executive
Committee. I greatly appreciate your support and friendship; I hope my
work has been of value to you and the LP.

Best wishes to you in all your endeavors. I look forward to seeing
you in Orlando.

     Take care,
     Jim
