[Lnc-business] Oklahoma petition drive

Wes,  I think you should have saved your $150.  For one thing, I doubt if any paid petitioners are left here other then Paul, and he is without a car to move about and he plans to leave shortly.
By the way, I sent my opinion just to you, but leave it up to you to decide if you want it shared or not.  Other then looking for any fraudulent petitions, I think it is time to put the issue to bed, and I would be glad to help share the blame if I am wrong.  And even if a few pages of fraudulent petitions, I doubt there would be enough to change the outcome of the final count by a significant factor.
If Ok wants to play games to invalidate our petitions, we could collect a million and still not make it.  As for now, they know we are not going to make the 10% in November, so why should they risk the bad publicity by playing games?   So I expect they will zip through the petitions and send us on our way and hope we will learn our lesson that we can not win anyway and thus will just go away.
At the best, we can hope for a respectable showing so that the next time around they will know a little more about the Libertarian Party, and it will be a much easier sell for collecting signatures and money, and maybe this Fall we might even be lucky enough to elect a few Libertarian candidates.
Well, me and wife drive off to ND tomorrow morning.

Roland, I hope that you are right, but I'm not 99.9% certain.

But at least if this petition drive fails, there will be at least one more person to share the blame with.

: )    <---smiley face means that I was trying to be sort of funny above.

Thanks for your efforts in Oklahoma. Please let me know how many signatures you collect.

(I changed the subject in the reply email)

Thanks for stepping in to help. We've gotten a substantial amount of free advice on this petition drive, but from you, we got free signatures. Thanks for doing the real work.

I just visited the Oklahoma LP website http://www.oklp.org/
and I donated $150. I put in the comments section: "Tina Kelly, please use this to collect petition signatures at $1.50 per signature if possible. Thanks, --Wes Benedict

I contributed $200 directly to the LP Oklahoma on 11/18/2015 as well, but that was to help with printing and overhead and stuff.

I'm still very nervous about the success of this drive. While the national LP shouldn't spend any more on this, I'd sure would be happy if someone else would donate $1,500 directly to the LP Oklahoma so they can add another 1,000 signatures to the buffer.

Go here, then select the "DONATE!" menu tab, and you can donate by paypal or credit card:

| Wes. Have been out and about in OK with Paul and collected some additional signatures. The cooler weather and OK rules make slow going but still adding to cushion. In reviewing situation I am 99.9% certain we have well exceeded our goals and there should be no big surprise that will effect this. |
