First of all I abstain.

To answer Alicia's question, this is my understanding. CO is committed to
pay $800 if necessary (that was their maximum) but that would potentially
limit further outreach events that they could do in this season in addition
to activities to promote the Johnson campaign that may arise. CO is next
weekend going to the Western Conservative Summit, a major political event
in CO, with a booth cost of $1,000. CO also just paid to fly in Will Coley
to go on outreach visits to prominent CO mosques in order to reach the
Muslim community. CO is aggressive in Outreach and commits quite a bit of
limited funds to said activities. Riot Fest, as an event in CO that draws
from all over the country, they were requesting that National assist to an
extent that would relieve some of that burden since a good deal of the
benefit would not go directly to CO but to the Party writ large. Further,
in order to adequately staff the booth (2 would be a skeleton crew),
additional passes would need to be purchased (it is unknown if passes can
be transferred at this point as well), and this would free up resources to
purchase items to sell (though no approval has been made on that by the
LPCO board). Last year non-profits did get a 10% discount, but that has
not been confirmed for this year, but there is the potential that the
minimum cost to CO may be $920 (the booth fee is $800 and $200 for the
liability insurance).

I have copied the LPCO State Chair on this email so he can communicate to
me if I have mischaracterized or omitted anything here.

As far as information on Riot Fest, this is from an earlier email to the
LNC on this:

Riot Fest is a 3 day music festival that is held in 2 cities on separate
dates in September. This event is extremely popular as people travel from
across the county and internationally to attend. There are five to six
stages in all. Vendor tents are placed outside, usually along the perimeter
of the fenced in area by the outdoor stages. Attendance is expected to be
approximately 40,000 per day, so there are a lot of people walking around
from stage to stage. There is ample space to speak to the festival goers at
our outside tent. We will be able to carry on conversations with potential
voters. We can also expect national media coverage as MTV, Rolling Stone,
Huffington Post amongst others have covered the event in the past. The
target demographic will be the disenchanted Bernie Sanders supporters,
Independents and anyone looking for a 3rd party option. As the event is
built around, but not limited to, Punk Rock there are heavy political
undertones. I have also been in contact with Seth Levy from the Gary
Johnson campaign who says that this event is “right up his ally” however
due to potential security concerns at that point in the campaign can not
guarantee his appearance.

*PS: remember, please sign your emails... the sender information is
often unclear when this goes to the public list, and the members can
have a hard time keeping track of who said what, and they deserve to
know.*
