[Lnc-business] Outreach to Log Cabin Republicans

The fact is that, like Norm's prior motion, most of these do not have a
specific direction to a person or to a deadline (and I suspect such would
be meant with strenuous 'micromanagement" objections), but that doesn't
mean that they should just fall through the cracks. We don't have any
procedure in place that I see to make sure that they don't. We should.
As far as clumsy wording or request in this regard: Guilty as charged. I
am learning.
I am asking publicly since the motion was public, the Region 1 member's
request was public and I believe in public communications on public
directives.
And it is an example that we have a failure in our process.
I realize you don't agree that we *should* be making directions such as the
one above but we *did* and I expect when I go back through several years of
minutes, I will find many others.
This isn't to finger point or blame or do any other completely
nonproductive and useless thing. It is to note an issue and call upon US
to correct it with a collective responsibility to the LNC.
And FWIW I see the same issue in my own state party at times, and am
working on that level to correct. This is a common institutional thing.
And because it is common and is an accountability thing, I think it needs
to be on list. I realize you may disagree, but you and I have different
views of institutional transparency *on some things* (certainly not all).
Members notice we don't follow through. Members deserve to see the follow
through and the discussion when we fail.
