[Lnc-business] [Lnc-votes] Feedback on LP religion poll / tracking?

Thanks, Wes. On click-tracking, I think the devil if any is in the details. Is it telling staff only that someone clicked on an email, or is it compiling data on the habits of specific individuals, i.e. which kinds of emails they open, etc.? I am hesitantly okay with the former, but not the latter, unless an individual explicitly opts in to that kind of tracking.

If you want to lump all the Christian options together, you can still do that without putting them at the top of the list, by making them sub-categories of the "Christian" entry.

I agree it's not easy to determine what is and what isn't a religion, and therefore what options to include or not include in such a poll. I think many people today do have more religious attitudes about environmentalism, statism, etc., than they do about Christianity or other traditional religions. In such a milieu, following member requests of categories to include based on how they wish to identify seems sensible.

Love & Liberty,

P.S. – Since the "email cutover", I have not been receiving the LNC list emails. Or more specifically, I was receiving what I presume were all the emails sent to the reflector list up until last Sunday's meeting (they showed up in my In Box without the headers), but now as best I can determine I am receiving only emails sent to the LNC-votes list, via the reflector list, but not emails sent to the LNC-business list. Ken Moellman said he'd get with me to work on the issue a bit later this evening; hopefully we will be able to resolve the problem. Are other people subscribed to the reflector list receiving the emails, I wonder?

For anyone curious about the religious aspects of transhumanism, this page has some good material:
