Besides it being the loss of a friend, someone I served with on the 2010
Platform Committee, it's particularly sad because Adam was only 47 years
old, and they were in the process of adopting a baby girl. His death
complicates the completion of the adoption a bit, requiring different
processes and increasing the cost.
