[Lnc-business] Communication Between National and Affiliates

To all:
I wanted to bring up an issue right quick. I know I have largely been
silent the last while. Between real life and the campaign, there was
little time.
I sent a couple of messages to individuals earlier, but would like to
address the body as a whole.
The subject is that we need to make sure that we are taking effort as a
national body to loop in state parties when we are doing something in
their backyard from National.
The reason I bring this up is that there is an event in Salt Lake City,
UT that the Utah Executive Committee knew nothing about until they
received invites in their inboxes.
The reason for this being important on coordination is so that:
1. The state affiliate feels like they are important to our overall
efforts.
2. We can better coordinate manpower if needed.
3. Promoting the event can be better handled.
4. We can ensure that there are not meetings or events double booked on
the day.
5. Cohesion is a good thing
Whether it is a member of the board or one of the LP employees doing the
event coordination, it is important that we have communication first so
that people aren't caught off guard with something, especially if it is
an officially sponsored event.
Respectfully,
Craig Bowden
