Caryn Ann, if there are no other declared candidates for the officer
position that you're running for, then perhaps it isn't applicable. If
you're running for an uncontested seat, then I'll be the first to say
that the advantage that giving gifts to member recruits gives you, is
indeed moot.
(I'll ready to make note about this issue if any of the multiple
declared chair and VC contenders wish to avail themselves of Wes's offer
while campaigning.)
