Joshua,

Actually, as I think about it, I would prefer you resign.  Issue a resignation effective immediately upon our call to order in Denver.  Then we can have a quick vote and reappoint you to the committee.  I *THINK* this would save us a lot more time than other alternatives.  

I know generally I would not be inclined to appoint someone else to the seat by an email vote before.  I expect it would be a matter of possible considerable debate during the meeting and I frankly think the “pay off” of representation wouldn’t be worth the time and effort considering the time left in the term.

I would rather stick with the Devil I know.
