Steven,

Thank you for injecting some common sense into this discussion that, from my perspective, boils down attempts to read the minds of voters, the majority of whom could care less about this internal hubbub. For those who say this is not the case, I challenge them to put their money where your mouth is, do the due diligence, and provide the numbers. That is the Libertarian way.

Some might disagree with Arvin's logic and many disagree with his words. Interesting, it is my observation that most of the responses I have read so far have been notably devoid of any semblance of logic and reflect emotional reactions that have done nothing to add to my pride in being a libertarian. Most of us know perfectly well what Arvin had in mind. Perhaps Arvin has more courage than I do, but I would not have chosen those words. Nevertheless, short of a violation of standard definitions of malfeasance of office, Arvin's 'joke' does not violate the NAP anymore than anti-statist jokes that some of us make offline albeit probably not on Facebook. That being the case, I question the wisdom of circumventing the authority of national delegates before the rapidly approaching national convention. Leave that kind of top-down concentration of power moves that usurps national delegate responsibilities to the other two major parties.

For heaven's sakes, let's put our political-correctness bromides on the shelf instead of blowing thinly-disguised smoke screens at voters. Let's trust the voters and national delegates to take care of their own feelings and trust ourselves to do the same. To not do so strikes me, at best, as somewhere in between passive-aggressive and co-dependent behavior. I trust the national delegates to take care of their business responsibly. Do LNC members trust the national delegates to fulfil their charter? How we handle this matter will send a clear message to delegates about whether we trust them to discharge their responsibilities in a Libertarian manner.

If we do not like Arvin's posting, we are individually free to say so to our hearts content. However, beyond trusting national delegates, I would hope that we have more important matters to attend to between now and the national convention and at the LNC meeting in Denver.

Thoughts?

 Dear Colleagues,

I will not back down on my previous decision; furthermore, this discussion is a waste of time as a) we can all rest assured Arvin Vohra will not resign and b) it is the rightful job of the degelates to seek his replacement if they so see fit. I am but an alternate so the decision will not lay soley on me, however, I can’t support another bout against Arvin, it is a waste of time.

Arvin makes several posts per day, every few months he says something that’s polarizing and gets people offended. I can say the same thing about our own social media platform, but I will give both the benefit of the doubt. What Arvin did didn’t violate the NAP, and I refuse to be offended by words. I am more offended by the State. June will come faster than we all realize, and kicking up dust over this will only make the situation worse, I have first hand experience from Florida.

Let’s continue to be the centrifugal force of liberty in the United States, the delegates voted for Arvin, the delegates can make the final call in NOLA.

 In Liberty,
