[Lnc-business] Listing Ideas Thread

I'm interested in exploring this, in part because I was a non-LNC member
of the Bylaws Committee last year and I felt I brought a perspective
different from that of the LNC members (generally, willing to pursue
good ideas that "had always failed before" and unwilling to support
ideas that didn't really make sense to me but perhaps related to some
past LNC battle). While most committees have a fixed number of LNC
members, some committees have a maximum number of LNC members and I know
those have often been treated as floors rather than ceilings. Obviously
there's a balance there, I'm sure.
I added up all the various seats yesterday - not counting the new
committee ideas from Mr. Merced and others - and it's about 30 seats for
the 24 of us (not counting Nick, who sits non-voting ex-officio on
everything). (Spreadsheet attached.) Adding outreach, retention,
elections, etc., brings us up to something in the high 40s for the 24 of
us. So for myself I'm planning on trying to get on no more than 1-2
committees, to allow more focus for myself and spreading around things
for everyone else.
