The explanation for the colors in the original thesis did not weigh 
heavily on me.  I got some stickers made with the original gray color. 
They looked ugly, so I proposed a darker gray so it would look better, 
not for any ideological reasons.

You can bring additional changes to me but it's quite likely I'll not 
have time to consider carefully or act on them before election day.

As far as an authoritative style guide, the original style guide 
proposed was quite strict and we found ourselves violating it many ways 
on almost every publication, so it was largely ignored.

Quite likely any style guides would only be followed by staff. 
Libertarians volunteers usually put up logos and memes on our facebook 
page that violated our color standards.
