Dear Colleagues,
I just caught news that the US Senate has unanimously passed a resolution upholding the right to free speech against Trump. Let me ask the members of this body one thing, if a body (the US Senate) that clearly doesn’t protect the right of free speech can unanimously pass a resolution upholding free speech, despite the fact that it is redundantly in the Constitution, what is stopping us from re-affirming our beliefs in private property? Is it truly redundant? Or are we treating our SoP and Platform as a living document? I hope it’s the former. Finally, I know very well our candidates will put up a fight in a way the senate has overtly failed to protect our rights, and I believe they would have supported such a resolution on the senate floor and meant it immensley with all of the fire in their heart.
